“I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” – Michael Jordan

People don't remember Michael Jordan for his failures but for his success. Fearing failure is one of the biggest obstacle for many people to get ahead in life. I have doubts all the time about my talents and ability to do things in my profession. I work hard every day and night to hone my craftsmanship. I still don't think it's perfect but I keep moving forward. I don't let a small defect get in the way.

Admitting you're wrong is the first step to make things right. It's ok to be wrong — learn from it and move on. I don't dwell on things that weigh me down. I realize what I did wrong and look for ways to improve on it. And try not to make the same mistake again.

I've been rejected many times for jobs, Art School, awards, comic book art submissions, publishing, etc. All things I thought I was good at but people tell me otherwise. I find solutions to my problems, learn to do things better, and kept trying. Eventually, I ended with great jobs and a fantastic career. I'm doing what I love.

Progressing on your work is much better than making it perfect. Work on improving your craft and forge on to success. Only you can determine what success is. Don't fear failure — it leads to many great things.
